First Day of Kindergarten

After many, many tears (100% of them shed by Mommy) she was off to school!

Cambree is a Zamora Zoonie (a snail in case you were wondering what in the world a Zoonie is).

Her teacher is Mrs. Nannini who is new to the school but has been teaching kindergarten for 11 years. She is young and seems like a very fun teacher! She has 2 kids herself who attend Zamora, and one of them is starting kindergarten this year in another class.

School starts at 8:45 and gets out at 2:55 Mon, Tue, Thur & Fri. Wed is early release at 1:55.

She had so much fun today and said she wants to go back tomorrow! I'm glad because we haven't broken the news to her that she will get to go to school everyday for the next 13 years! hahaha

TANTRUMS - It's hard not to laugh sometimes!

Step 1: Slide face across floor for several feet (or bang head on nearest object)

Step 2: Really get into the dramatic screaming and throwing about of the body

Step 3: It's more fun if you can get other objects involved, such as kicking and hitting the couch!

This little Man knows what he wants and sometimes just gets upset because he can't communicate. I love that he know some simple sign language because he enjoys when we understand him. He will sign food and we will say "Mason wants food" and he will nod his head YES. Although if something "offends" him or hurts him he will have nothing to do with it! Such as a car. If it hurts him he will scream and throw it and push it across the floor with the back of his hand, but if you take it away he will throw a fit! So you give it back and he screams at it more! What to do, what to do? HAhaha

Hand Foot & Mouth

Beware: There is a new strain of Hand Foot & Mouth Disease going around the US. It recently hit Northern California, and unfortunately in our home. The Doctors just got the notice of an outbreak of this new strain on Friday, the day it hit Mason! It's very aggressive and very painful. It now covers his whole body but the worst parts are on his face, hands, feet and diaper area. Last night he screamed from 12-3am nonstop. Nothing could make him feel better. Poor little guy! I feel so helpless! There is nothing we can do... In some cases of this new, "angry" strain children are losing their fingernails a few weeks after it hits. It affects the skin development, such as nails. The Dr said if that happens they should grow back normal. Lots of prayers for our little guy! He is in pain. I really hope Cambree does not get this!

The blisters are all the way up his leg. They are bad on his feet and knees.

Swim Lessons 2012

Cambree did amazing this year! It finally clicked and she can swim across a pool with no floaties or kickboards! She goes all by herself! Our Little Mermaid!
